Derived from the renowned S.55 family, the S.55X retained its unmistakable twin-hull configuration and tandem engine installation above the wing, adapted for the demanding requirements of long-distance oceanic flights. This 1:48 scale kit reproduces I-BALB, the aircraft flown by Italo Balbo during the historic undertaking, and was developed through detailed historical research based on original technical and photographic documentation.
